Shampú's DIY Curly Blow Out | Step by Step

We've all been there, maybe it's an anniversary, a birthday party, a night out, whatever the occasion you're looking to get your hair blown out professionally. Easily this could cost you $30-$50+ for a style that sometimes won't last the next day let alone the same night. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands, (literally). If you have never tried blow-drying your hair, I definitely recommend trying. Spoiler alert, your first time won't look that good and your arms might hurt but proper styling tools, products, and parting will do wonders on how well it turns out.

Prep Hair

First, you're going to need a good shampoo and conditioner. All of the Shampú products are amazing but, It's important you use the product that will best bring out your hair. For example, if you have really dry hair, you may want to use Moisture Shampoo and Moisture Conditioner. For everyone else, I recommend using the Volume Shampoo and the Volume Conditioner. This will achieve a nice voluminous Blowout!

Once your hair is prepped, lightly towel dry it. If your hair is really damaged try not to towel dry too much. Once the hair is dry, it's harder to close the cuticle and harder to get a smooth look without the extra use of a flat iron or curling wand.

What you'll need

Versatile Styling Creme

Amplifying Foam

Directions

Use Amplyfing foam at your roots and the styling creme on your ends.

Section your hair into 4 sections. 2 sections on top of your head, split down the middle and the other 2 sections split down the middle from your nape OR just below your ears.

Start from the bottom. Take one of the sections out and section off 2 inches worth of hair. Put the rest back into a clip. Make sure the hair is not knotted before blow-drying. Wrap your hair around a round brush with the hair flowing back and start blowing. Make sure you have a good grip. Do this for as long as it takes to get the piece dry. Make sure your brush is moving in a circular motion from the top to the bottom to maintain consistency. Continue to do this until the bottom is finished. For a smoother look, once the hair is dry, hit the cool button on the blowdryer until the hair is cooled from the hot air.

When you're at the top of the hair make sure to follow the same instructions from the bottom. For more height/ volume, direct your hair up and away from the head.

For added volume and to maintain a good hold, spray some In Control Hairspray

Make sure to spray at a distance and don't overuse the product. If you get too much, wait for your hair to dry and run your fingers through it to soften it up.
